$340 Venetian Deep Stack NL Hold'em

Played this tournament today and made a pretty early exit. I chipped up a little bit from 6k to close to 8k in the first level but after that I don't think I won a single pot that wasn't simply a blind pick-up. I was card dead and anytime I tried to pick up blinds//antes I was reraised and forced to lay down the hand. My final hand of the tournament came when I had 2800 in chips and blinds were at 200/400 25 antes. Middle position limps, button limps, I look down at Qd8d in the sb and think I have enough to have them both laydown if I jam all in and can pick up about 1400 uncontested a nice addition to my measly short stack. The middle position folds quickly and the button ends up calling with QT and holds. This same clown had just layed down AQ to an button raise all-in so I guess he was fed up with folding. I don't mind my move because generally if I do get called I will have two live cards and more often than not I just pick up the money.

So, after that I walked back to the Imperial Palace....in the rain....yes it actually rained today in Vegas. I proceeded to blow $300 at roulette like a clown and headed to the room. I think I am going to go find a 2/5PLO game at the Rio and see how that goes for a few hours. If it is going well I will continue to play if not I may jump in the $300 NL holdem tourney at the Rio at 7pm
